The applier had left the whole batch in the tree uncommitted, together with the
md5-cache entry of every previous version: a bump writes the new entry and never
removes the old one. egencache re-run over the ten packages swept 18 orphans,
eight of them older than this batch (mesa and mesa_clc back to _pre20260917,
ik_llama-cpp likewise, qwen-code 0.24.0, antigravity-hub-bin 2.14.0). The floor
for that section of scripts/gentoo-parity.sh is 0, not a backlog.

Verified: every one of the ten new md5-cache entries has an _md5_ matching its
ebuild, and egencache touched nothing outside the ten packages named.
The sys-libs/libunwind record moves 1.8.3 -> 1.8.3-r1 to follow the revbump
already committed in 486b2487c.

qwen-code does NOT ship upstream's bundled Node.js. That bundle is 199 MB of
the 303 MB tarball -- two thirds of the package -- and a distribution has no
business carrying a second Node runtime that nothing else would ever update,
with net-libs/nodejs already in the tree. Dropping it leaves 104 MB installed,
and the JS bundle was verified to run on the system node 24.21.0 even though
upstream pinned 22.23.2.

The launcher is rewritten rather than patched. Upstream's bin/qwen derives its
root from dirname "$0", which resolves to /usr/bin when the entry point is
reached through a symlink and would look for lib/ in the wrong place; the
ebuild installs its own three-line wrapper with an absolute path instead.
src_prepare asserts that bin/qwen really does invoke the bundled runtime
before deleting it, so an upstream launcher change fails the build instead of
removing a directory that is still needed.

Its autoupdate record probes /releases and NOT /releases/latest, which is
backwards from every other GitHub record in the file and is the point. The
repository publishes two products on one release stream: on 2026-09-10
/releases/latest answered "sdk-typescript-v0.1.12", the TypeScript SDK, while
the CLI sat at v0.23.3. The regex is anchored on quote-then-"v" so it skips
both the sdk-* tags and the v0.23.3-nightly.<date>.<sha> ones.

cc-switch-bin takes the .deb over the AppImage upstream also publishes: same
program, 12 MB against 88 MB, because the AppImage bundles a runtime this gets
from the system. Its desktop entry needed two repairs -- the file name
contains a space, and Categories= was present but EMPTY. Only one main
category is written, because desktop-file-validate warns that two would list
the application twice in the menu. The fix asserts its own result.

Verified, not assumed: pkgcheck is clean on cc-switch-bin; qwen-code reports
NonsolvableDepsInDev on the x32 dev profile only, where net-libs/nodejs is not
keyworded -- accepted and declared, as is normal for an overlay. Both
completed `ebuild ... clean install` without root. qwen-code's image was
checked to contain no node/ directory and to weigh 104 MB, and its bundle
executed and printed 0.23.3. cc-switch's installed desktop entry passes
desktop-file-validate with no warnings, and all three icon sizes are present.

Not verified: cc-switch is a GUI and was not launched -- only its image was
inspected. No merge onto the live system either, so ownership is untested.
