add(x11-themes/bentoo-logos-1.0, profiles/{default,features/branding}): bentoo profiles that brand the system
KDE's "About this System" said Gentoo because it reads /etc/os-release,
which ::gentoo's baselayout writes. The bentoo overlay now ships its own
profiles: each one is the ::gentoo amd64 23.0 profile of the same path plus
features/branding (20 profiles; split-usr, musl, x32 and prefix left out).
features/branding brands without forking any ::gentoo package:
- make.defaults sets BRANDING_OS_* (branding.eclass): NAME=Bentoo,
ID=bentoo, ID_LIKE=gentoo, PRETTY_NAME="Bentoo Linux", bentoo URLs.
- package.bashrc (needs profile-bashrcs in layout.conf) appends
LOGO='bentoo' to baselayout's os-release, and INSTALL_MASKs
kinfocenter's kcm-about-distrorc, so KDE falls back to os-release.
- packages puts x11-themes/bentoo-logos in @system; package.accept_keywords
keeps it resolvable on stable keywords.
x11-themes/bentoo-logos installs the bentoo logo (scour-optimized SVG,
render identical to the original) as the hicolor icon "bentoo".
Verified in a throwaway PORTAGE_CONFIGROOT: BRANDING_OS_* resolve, the
profile stack is gentoo -> branding -> leaf, @system pulls bentoo-logos
under ACCEPT_KEYWORDS=amd64; baselayout's real install phase yields the
Bentoo os-release with LOGO; a stand-in kinfocenter merged into a temp ROOT
drops both Gentoo files under the bentoo profile and keeps them under the
::gentoo one. pkgcheck clean on bentoo-logos; profile checks leave only
UnusedProfileDirs for bashrc/, which pkgcheck does not know. Not verified:
a real kinfocenter build and the KDE page itself.
