fix(dev-util/vulkan-tools): revbump to the commit that carries the fix, instead of backporting it onto the one that does not

Yesterday I added a backport of upstream 462d9819 "vulkaninfo: add missing
<ctime> include" to an ebuild pinned at 532e2c0e. That was the wrong call, and
checking the record today shows why: 462d9819 IS the current head of main. The
next autoupdate run would have bumped straight onto it and eapply would have
died on an already-applied patch.

So the patch is gone and EGIT_COMMIT is 462d9819. The fix arrives the way it
should - in the source - and the ebuild stops carrying a delete-me note with a
deadline nobody was watching.

REVISION RATHER THAN A NEW PV, because both commits are from 2026-09-04 and the
PV encodes the DATE: 532e2c0e at 02:24Z and 462d9819 at 21:04Z both render as
_p20260904. The autoupdate is blind to a same-day second commit, which is
exactly why this needed doing by hand.

That forces the SRC_URI rename from $.tar.gz to $.tar.gz. Without it both
revisions would fetch to the same distfile name with different content, and the
Manifest would carry one digest for two tarballs. Precedent in the tree:
dev-util/spirv-headers-1.4.357.0_p20260826-r1 does the same thing for the same
reason.

Verified. The fetched tarball has #include <ctime> at vulkaninfo/vulkaninfo.cpp
line 31 - checked in the distfile pkgdev just downloaded, not inferred from the
commit title. The ebuild's md5sum matches the regenerated cache's _md5_, so the
git mv did not leave a stale index entry. pkgcheck is identical to the baseline
at 16cf87f13. --self-test 25/25.

AND A25 EARNED ITS KEEP TWENTY MINUTES AFTER BEING WRITTEN. The revbump reopened
this package's PATCHES row - ::gentoo still carries the backport, the overlay now
carries nothing - and the sweep went to align=1 naming dev-util/vulkan-tools.
That is a regression I introduced, caught by the assertion added in 16cf87f13
rather than by me noticing. Re-tagged with the new reason, which is a better one
than the old: the fix is in the source, not applied on top.

fix(dev-util/vulkan-tools, sys-apps/flatpak): two build/test breakages ::gentoo already patches, del(4 orphan patches), mod(8 ebuilds): tag the last PATCHES rows - ALIGN reaches zero

The last thirteen open findings: the eleven remaining PATCHES rows and the two
UNDOCUMENTED ones. With these the sweep reports 222 rows, ALL JUSTIFIED, and
exits 0 for the first time.

TWO REAL BREAKAGES.

dev-util/vulkan-tools is missing #include <ctime> in vulkaninfo.cpp and fails
to build against libc++ 23. The timing is the whole story and was measured
against the GitHub API, not guessed: EGIT_COMMIT here is 532e2c0e from
2026-09-04T02:24Z, and upstream's fix 462d9819 landed at 18:35Z the SAME DAY -
sixteen hours later. The snapshot missed it by one working day. The patch
carries a delete-me note naming the commit that obsoletes it, so eapply will
fail loudly at the next bump rather than rot silently.

sys-apps/flatpak, both ebuilds: tests/make-test-runtime.sh copies
/usr/lib/locale/C.* with no guard, so building the test runtime dies where that
glob matches nothing. ::gentoo adds "|| true"; checked both 1.18.2 and 1.19.0
tarballs and neither has it.

Both patches were renamed version-agnostic on the way in, which promptly created
three fresh UNDOCUMENTED rows - the comparator sees a different filename on each
side and cannot know the content matches. Tagged as such. Worth remembering:
copying a patch from ::gentoo does not close a PATCHES row, it changes what the
row says.

FOUR ORPHAN PATCHES DELETED, which is what the two UNDOCUMENTED rows were.
tdesktop-6.9.3-{no-dispatch,qt6-no-wayland,use-pkgconfig-for-cmark-gfm}.patch
and nodejs-24.11.1-gcc15-ppc.patch: no ebuild references any of them, and the
versions they name are long gone (telegram-desktop is at 7.2.5, nodejs at 24.20
and 26.8). They are recoverable from git if that judgement was wrong.

EIGHT TAGS, each measured by reverse-applying ::gentoo's patch against the
tarball this overlay actually ships:

liborcus, gn, networkmanager-openvpn reverse-apply cleanly - upstream took
the change, ::gentoo's is a backport
bleachbit upstream went FURTHER: 6.0.3's locale

TWO OF THE EIGHT LEAVE SOMETHING OPEN, and say so in the tag rather than
implying it is settled:

sentry-native ::gentoo's no-fuzz-test patch does NOT apply - hunk 2 fails
against 0.16.5. So sentry_fuzz_json is still built and
registered under USE=test here, and their reason for disabling
it stands. Rebasing the patch is the fix.
xdg-desktop-portal their sandbox-disable-failing-tests patch does not apply
either, both hunks failing against 1.22.1. test_dynamiclauncher
.py and test_location.py are still listed and still want
pipewire, network and /dev/fuse. Their optional-gstreamer patch
is a different matter and must stay absent - it invents a USE
flag upstream does not have.

Verified. pkgcheck against a worktree at 6abe6fb56 is identical on all twelve
packages touched. Tarballs came from DISTDIR where cached and from upstream
otherwise - gitlab.com, github.com, download.gnome.org, distfiles.obentoo.org.
--self-test 24/24, shellcheck -S warning clean.

A20 re-measured 224 -> 222 with a note on what changes now: until today a rising
ALIGN count was ordinary, and from here any ALIGN at all is a NEW divergence
that arrived after 2026-09-07. The sweep is finally usable as a gate.

Four md5-cache orphans went with the egencache run: vim-core-9.2.1036,
bleachbit-6.0.2 and flatpak-1.18.1, none with an ebuild since earlier bumps.

fix(app-office/libreoffice-l10n, dev-util/vulkan-tools): two dependency lags, mod(dev-lang/lua, sci-biology/foldingathome): tag two that only look like lags, mod(scripts/gentoo-parity.sh): re-measure A20

Second parity remediation batch, and it splits the same way the gstreamer one
did: half were real, half were consequences of a decision already recorded
somewhere else. Deciding which is which is the work; the edits are one line each.

THE TWO LAGS.

libreoffice-l10n never set RPM_COMPRESS_TYPE. rpm.eclass then takes its unset
branch - "the ebuild hasn't been updated to resolve deprecations" - and narrows
BDEPEND to || ( app-arch/rpm2targz ) alone, dropping ::gentoo's
>=app-arch/rpm-4.19.0[lzma(+)]. Anyone who already has app-arch/rpm installed is
pushed to install rpm2targz as well, for nothing. Measured rather than copied:
extracting a langpack from DISTDIR and running strings over the RPM inside
reports PayloadIsXz, which is exactly the value ::gentoo declares. The variable
is @PRE_INHERIT, so it goes above the inherit or the eclass never sees it.

vulkan-tools got back test? ( dev-cpp/gtest ). The comment sitting there since
2026-09-04 already said what to do - "restore the atom or state why it is
unwanted" - and there is no reason to want it gone: it was collateral from the
edit that rewrote the SDK pins. The tests that need it are behind USE=test, so
its absence is invisible until someone enables that flag and the build fails
looking for gtest.

THE TWO THAT ONLY LOOK LIKE LAGS.

lua is missing app-portage/elt-patches, and must be. libtool.eclass is what puts
that in BDEPEND, and this ebuild deliberately does not inherit it - a divergence
already tagged on the INHERIT axis, because no Gentoo autotools-patched tarball
exists for 5.5 and it drives upstream's Makefile with tc-getCC instead. Nothing
here runs elibtoolize, and elt-patches exists only to feed it.

foldingathome is missing dev-util/patchelf from DEPEND because it MOVED to
BDEPEND, where a build-time tool belongs, and gained an elogind? guard. The
BDEPEND side was already tagged; the axis it left was not. Worth stating plainly
because it generalises: moving an atom between depend axes produces TWO
divergence rows, and tagging only the destination leaves the origin reading
ALIGN forever.

Verified. The md5-cache delta is exactly +[>=app-arch/rpm-4.19.0[lzma(+)]] twice
and +[test? ( dev-cpp/gtest )] once, with no removal anywhere and no depset
change at all on lua and foldingathome, whose edits are comments. pkgcheck was
run against a worktree at c10066d9d and produces identical findings before and
after on all four. The sweep goes 235 rows to 232: three closed, two
reclassified, nothing new. --self-test is 24/24 with A20 re-measured.

NOT VERIFIED: nothing was merged - this host has no sudo, and Portage reads
/var/db/repos/bentoo rather than the checkout. check-foldingathome-image.sh was
not run because it asserts properties of an installed image and this commit
changes no phase, no atom and no installed byte of that package.

RELATED FINDING, left alone: four more overlay ebuilds inherit rpm.eclass with
no RPM_COMPRESS_TYPE - proton-mail-bin, github-desktop, openoffice-bin and one
libreoffice-l10n sibling already covered here. The parity sweep cannot see three
of them because ::gentoo carries no counterpart, so the same latent narrowing is
there unaudited. Each needs its own payload measured; do not assume xz.

mod(eclass/gstreamer-meson.eclass): rebase onto ::gentoo, mod(89 ebuilds): apply the parity audit

Executes the tracks in .epic/reports/agent-parity-audit/03-execution-plan.md.
The audit's single systemic cause: a version bump renames our own ebuild forward
and never re-reads ::gentoo, so every fix the distribution made to that revision
is discarded in silence. These are the discarded fixes.

PROVEN BROKEN, now fixed:

dev-python/gst-python: our pygobject patch is upstream 0496a778, already in the
tarball. Reproduced "3 out of 3 hunks FAILED" against real 1.28.6 sources, and
confirmed the line it adds already sits at gstpythonplugin.c:239. Dropped.

media-plugins/gst-plugins-webrtc: PATCHES pointed at the 1.24.10 patch, which
dies with "sctp Hunk #1 FAILED". ::gentoo's rebased 1.26.11 copy applies clean
to both 1.28.6 and 1.29.2 -- adopted. libnice floor 0.1.21 -> 0.1.23: upstream
needs 0.1.23 and BOTH trees were below it, so matching ::gentoo (0.1.22) would
have left the configure-time death standing.

net-libs/webkit-gtk-{r410,r600}: added 2.52.6-no-video.patch (FTBFS with
USE=-gstreamer) and 2.52.6-no-sse2.patch plus the SSE IUSE and the 17-line x86
block (bug 730044) -- we keyword ~x86 without the fix that makes ~x86 build.
Same pattern for ~ppc64: added it to the SKCMS_HAS_MUSTTAIL=0 guard (bug
970556). Both patches come from ::gentoo's copies of these same revisions.

dev-util/nvidia-cuda-toolkit: PYTHON_COMPAT ( 11..13 ) against a 3.14 profile
default made REQUIRED_USE unsatisfiable on EVERY profile on EVERY arch, not the
94 first reported -- PYTHON_TARGETS is set once in base/make.defaults. pkgcheck
RequiredUseDefaults goes from 762 profiles to 0. dev-python/gst-python and
media-libs/gstreamer-editing-services had the same defect; both moved to
( 12..14 ).

net-libs/nodejs-26.8.1: nghttp3 floor 1.15.0 -> 1.18.0 (upstream needs 1.18.0;
--shared-nghttp3 FTBFS below it) and ngtcp2 1.22.0 -> 1.22.1 (CVE-2026-40170).

THE ECLASS, which unblocks four of the above:

Rebased onto ::gentoo's, keeping exactly two additions, both tagged in the
header. (1) meson.options support: GStreamer 1.28.0 renamed meson_options.txt,
and ::gentoo's eclass reads the old name unconditionally -- measured, 1.28.6
ships only meson.options, so their copy would die in gstreamer_get_plugins on
all 153 gst-plugins-* here. (2) -Dtests=disabled on split plugins. Recovered
from ::gentoo in return: GST_PLUGINS_MULTILIB, the meson-1.4 BDEPEND, the
src_test guard, and correct "$" quoting.

SILENT CORRECTNESS:

media-libs/gst-plugins-bad had lost the entire vulkan USE flag. Worse than
"removed": the options still exist upstream at value: 'auto' and our eclass sed
extracts none of them (measured: 0 of 3, because they sit under a section
header neither pattern matches), so no -Dvulkan=disabled was emitted -- an
automagic dependency on vulkan-loader, not a disabled one. Restored ::gentoo's
GST_PLUGINS_NOAUTO + explicit meson_feature. Also fixed `rm -f ... || die`,
where -f makes the || die unreachable.

media-libs/gst-plugins-base hardcoded -Dtools=enabled on every ABI, so 32-bit
tools overwrite 64-bit ones in /usr/bin. Now $(meson_native_enabled tools) --
which needs `inherit meson-multilib`, as ::gentoo does; pkgcheck caught the
omission. Restored the libpng:0= subslot in the same file.

Subslot := restored on gst-plugins-{chromaprint,neon,soundtouch,webp} (8
ebuilds): without it portage never rebuilds the consumer on an ABI change.

KEYWORDS on 52 ebuilds: 1.28.6 carried 1.24.13's line verbatim, re-asserting
arm/arm64/ppc as STABLE on a version whose arch teams never signed off. Only
the monotonic rule was applied -- demote stable->testing where ::gentoo did not
stabilise, never promote. Note the 1.29.2 ebuilds are already all-~; blanket
"align with ::gentoo" there would have STABILISED a masked development series.
The comparison must also be against ::gentoo's newest (1.26.11): against the
union of all their versions it yields zero hits, because 1.24.13 is where the
carry-forward came from.

SUPPLY CHAIN:

verify-sig restored on the 8 packages ::gentoo verifies (16 ebuilds). All 8 .asc
URLs return 200; Manifests regenerated one explicit target at a time. Not 9 as
first reported -- gst-plugins-libav has no verify-sig in ::gentoo either.

sys-firmware/edk2: added edk2-202608-fix-gic-hvf.patch. We keyword ~arm64 and
build ArmVirtQemu.dsc without the ArmVirtPkg GIC series ::gentoo applies to the
same 202608 release. The OpenSSL 3.5.7-vs-3.5.8 question is deliberately NOT
touched here: it is a judgement call, not a bug.

TEXTS THAT STATED THE OPPOSITE OF REALITY -- all seven, each re-verified live:

x11-base/xwayland claimed test/{sync,damage,bigreq}/ do not exist in 24.1.x. The
GitLab API returns 200 for all three at tag xwayland-24.1.13 and 404 only for
test/pyxtest/. The dependency is still right, for the half of the reason that
survived.

dev-games/godot x2 claimed master still carries the unguarded calls with no PR.
Upstream 2e26ab8a3afb (2026-08-28) touches exactly the two files these patches
guard. Marked DROP-at-next-bump, explicitly not rebase.

dev-util/spirv-tools described an -r1 and an EGIT_COMMIT that no longer exist;
kept the mechanism, which still applies. dev-util/vulkan-tools omitted that the
same edit deleted test? ( dev-cpp/gtest ). www-client/chromium said slot 22 was
"enabled" -- 2ff7214ee narrowed ( 21 22 ) to ( 22 ), a substitution that leaves
an LLVM-21-only system unable to build chromium at all; flagged as an open
decision rather than silently reworded.

VERIFICATION

Every claim above is executed evidence except one: the webkit-gtk patches have
not had a patch --dry-run, because the tarball is not in DISTDIR. They are
byte-identical to ::gentoo's for the same revisions, which is strong, but it is
not a run.

egencache with --repositories-configuration and an explicit 96-package filter;
collateral checked and benign. pkgcheck one target at a time with --cache=-git;
what remains is pre-existing or inherited (::gentoo reports the same 16
RequiredUseDefaults on webkit-gtk). No build was merged -- this host has no
sudo, so nothing here claims a merge-tested pass.

fix(#37): dev-util,media-libs - unbreak Vulkan SDK snapshot resolution

dev-util/spirv-tools failed to build against dev-util/spirv-headers-1.4.341.0
with "ninja: error: '/usr/include/spirv/unified1/extinst.nonsemantic.shader.
debuginfo.grammar.json', needed by 'core_tables_body.inc', missing and no known
rule to make it". Two independent divergences from ::gentoo combined to let the
solver pick that pair.

1. KEYWORDS. The first snapshot of each package was created by copying the
::gentoo ebuild of the day, and for this family that ebuild was already
stabilised (1.4.341.0). The stable KEYWORDS then travelled through every
subsequent bump, so git-main snapshots ended up marked stable while ::gentoo
1.4.357.0 is entirely ~arch. spirv-headers, recreated later from a ~arch
base, stayed ~arch - and that asymmetry is what armed the trap: on a stable
system spirv-tools was pulled with no keyword request at all, while its
matching spirv-headers snapshot remained out of reach.

2. Dependencies. ::gentoo pins the whole SDK in lockstep (~pkg-$). bentoo
ships snapshots that bump on independent dates (spirv-tools _p20260813 vs
spirv-headers _p20260812), so an exact pin can never be satisfied - but
dropping the constraint entirely let any version through, including headers
predating the grammar files the generator needs.

Fix: drop all seven snapshots back to ~arch, and replace the dropped pins with
floors on the companion snapshot currently in the overlay, tagged
BENTOO-DIVERGENCE so the reason travels with the code. The floors must be
raised on every bump - the autoupdate applier only renames the bumped ebuild
and never touches its neighbours.

Also fixes a latent unsatisfiable dep in vulkan-tools: test? depended on
~media-libs/vulkan-loader-$, a version no longer in the overlay.

Verified locally, no build performed (no root on this host):
- pkgcheck VisibilityCheck/DependencyCheck/KeywordsCheck/MetadataVarCheck
over the seven: clean. Same scan over all 27 consumers in the overlay:
only a pre-existing, unrelated MissingUseDepDefault in crossover-bin.
- Reporter's scenario reproduced in an isolated PORTAGE_CONFIGROOT with
ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="amd64" and no package.accept_keywords: the snapshot is no
longer offered, and portage falls back to spirv-tools-1.4.341.0::gentoo -
the pair that matches the installed headers.
- With ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~amd64" all six resolve to ::bentoo, nothing masked
or unsatisfied.

Manifests untouched: thin-manifests records DIST only and no SRC_URI changed.

fix(overlay): resolve committed merge-conflict markers across 37 files

Broken autoupdate merge 8bbf9c25 committed unresolved <<<<<<< markers into
30 packages (ebuild + Manifest + md5-cache), breaking `emerge` sourcing
(vulkan-layers depend phase die + 36 more). Resolved taking the autoupdate
target side (4eb9e849), restoring the coherent snapshot.
